在John Legend眼里能说会唱会创作的Estelle最早是伦敦的一家Hip-Hop唱片店起步的，在那里，她的老板鼓励她努力实现自己唱歌的梦想，于是她开始频频出现在当地的俱乐部和酒吧演唱，并因此获得了在本地Hip-Hop明星Skitz2000年的专辑里演唱的机会。
